Icelanders are among the world’s healthiest, happiest and longest-living people - and many believe their pure, natural diet is the reason for this. Chef Viktor Örn Andrésson is one of Iceland's most prestigious culinary experts. A member of the Icelandic National Culinary team from 2009 to 2015, he has received many awards including Iceland Chef of the Year (2013), Nordic Chef of the Year (2014) and two gold medals at the 2014 Culinary World Cup in Luxembourg. Most recently, Chef Viktor Örn Andrésson led the Iceland team to a bronze medal in the prestigious Bocuse d'Or 2017 Finale, and earned special recognition for preparing the best fish of the Bocuse d'Or 2016 competition.

Taste of Iceland, an annual festival that celebrates Iceland’s vibrant culture, comes to Minneapolis with a series of events May 2-5, 2019. After a decade of events in cities across North America, Taste of Iceland is bringing some of the best names in Icelandic food, music, art and more to Minneapolis for the first time in the festival’s history. The four-day festival, presented by Iceland Naturally, gives the Twin Cities the chance to experience the country’s pure culture through a variety of (mostly free!) events.
